Knitting! Yay!

I started this scarf in March and haven't had time to finish it. You know, Summer and all that. But, it's been looking a lot like Fall and getting cooler so it's time to knit again!

This Noro yarn is so much fun to knit, the colors are just fantastic! I'm going to try to finish the scarf pretty quickly though because I want to knit a hat for my 2 year old daughter. I love having an excuse to go yarn shopping!

Fall Bokeh

I have to admit something: I am totally addicted to bokeh. That gorgeous blur that appears in the background of photos is driving me totally nuts! I can't use anything but my 50mm f1.8 lately and I find myself wishing for an f1.4!

Really crazy, I know. I love that dreamy, artistic quality bokeh gives a photo. I love the mix of colors and textures. I also love Fall, a lot. I take way too many pictures when we're out walking in a park and I see all those colorful leaves and tiny fruit still hanging onto branches. All week I keep myself going with all the boring routine stuff by thinking about all the great photos I'll take over the weekend. Whatever gets you through the day, or week, I guess.

Red, Red Everywhere!

Digital Photography School's Weekend Photography Challenge was RED this past weekend. Now, it was my first time participating but I loved it. It really was a challenge finding things I thought were interesting enough. Turns out, a lot of things are more interesting than you think if you look at them differently.

Might be just what I need to get the creative juices flowing again. Can't wait to see what next weekend's challenge is going to be! :)

Hope

I've been quite uninspired lately. It seems every time I try to do something creative, routine creeps up on me. Laundry, dishes, kids' homework, same old, same old...

For some reason, this picture I took a few weekends ago lifts my spirits a bit. I don't know if it's the sun trying to shine through the leaves and branches, but, in any case, I like it. Maybe there's hope after all...
